Summary of installed software / system overview

The installed software is controlling a system having 4 modular terminals QT-2000, connected in a network configuration. This system is automatically updating for all the machines any new information (program modifications, new items, price changes, etc.) introduced on one of the QT-2000 terminal from the network. This place is non stop working and has many cashiers. They are grouped on categories, each one with precise rights which are programmed on the machines. There are also the managers who have other rights programmed on the system. For a better, fast and efficient control, they are also using the opportunity offered by the Manager mode allowed by the system. They were designated the desired reports, containing the requested information, individual for each machine or collection and consolidation for the whole system. For an easier operation and a comprehensive control, they were grouped on categories, using the batch reports facilities. For safety reasons, the system is offering the opportunity to save and restore data on all the terminals, using the implemented backup/restore functions.

System Configuration

The system contains 4 QT-2000 modular terminals each equipped with an operator display and one customer display, linked in an on-line configuration. Each machine has its local printer and a detachable drawer placed under the counter. The system has designed a master and a backup master. This configuration is connected through the master to a PC where is running an inventory manager software. The front office software implemented on the QT-2000 network is connected to a back office software which is carrying up the inventory manager, the statistics and the analyses. There, they control the incoming merchandise, the transfers, the sales/purchase refunds, the merchandise requisition, the protocols, the personal food, the consumption, the receipts, the stocks, the sales, the profits, etc. Further, the necessary information is related to the accountability software, so that the company has a totally integrated informational system, CASIO QT-2000 based. The software system allows to track any product movement during the last 3 years, with monthly and yearly closing. The user friendly report generator enables the user to easily generate almost any desired situation, at any moment. This software from the store is connected through modem to the headquarter, where other special situations for the top management were designated.

The user produces all the items in this place and he was interested in a complete turn-key solution, containing a network machines configuration with the front office implemented software which should be linked to a back office inventory manager and an accountability software. He wants a strict control over the products receipts, consumption, stocks, requisitions, protocols, personal foods, sales and the real profits. The system from the store should be connected to the headquarter through modem or INTERNET. As they have almost few hundreds items, which should be fast serviced during the rush hours the flat keyboard menu sheet holder and the fast printer were welcome. For the front office, SINATTA proposed to the customer two CASIO systems : one with QT-2000 modular terminals and the other with TK-2300 ECR, Superboard based. Both were connected to the back office inventory manager and accountability software. The store was connected to the headquarter through modem or INTERNET.

Competition during negotiation

The good references from the other customers, made the competition easier for SINATTA, so that the customer chose to work with it. It remained to decide what system to use.

Finally, the QT-2000 system was the winner, because of possibility to further connect kitchen printers, faster local printers operation, reliability and easy maintenance, user friendly operation, flat keyboard menu holder instead of menu shift keys, with the opportunity to use 2 such menu holders, different programming for each cashier, secure back-up/restore system along with a modern and nice fashion design.

Improvement after installed CASIO model

The customer has a successful business . The system CASIO QT-2000 based is working fine, fast and accurate without trouble. He has a totally, deeply control over the whole activity of the company and is continuously working for the improvement in detail of his products and activity based on the situations obtained through the QT-2000 network. The sales and the profit are increasing while the loses are diminished, being under a strict control.
