Scale Scanners
Megellan is a fixed, in the counter scale/scanner combination. The
built-in scanner has a large grid laser pattern that picks up any
bar code swiped through that grid. Normally, items that are scaleable
do not have bar codes, so the operator places on the scanner/scale's
glass and rings up the item requiring the weight.

DSD means Direct Store Delivery, as merchandise is taken off the
trucks at the store it is scanned by the IT-700 (invoice number
and other pertinent data is also entered) and the data is sent real
time to the store's server and the inventory count is updated automatically.

Items can be entered as if they sold on the IT-700, the screen
layout is not the same as the QT-7300's screen but items still
can be sold via the IT-700.
